Alberto Bouroncle

A seasoned professional who understands the linkages of research, monitoring & evaluation, programmatic work, policy making, and advocacy, I have a successful track record developing and evaluating programs and advancing policy recommendations in collaboration with key stakeholders and policymakers including governments, the private sector, and nonprofit organizations, with the goal of finding sustainable solutions to identified challenges and supporting the adoption, replication, and scaling up of the most effective strategies and interventions for sustainable development.

I have adapted, planned, launched and managed a number of prevention and corporate social responsibility programs and partnerships that depend on maintaining long-term relationships with individuals, groups, and organizations for continuous growth and sustainability over time.

In the public affairs realm, I have been engaged in the work with multilateral organizations at the national, regional, and global levels. Assisting in the development, implementation, and dissemination of programs and policies that support the fight against non-communicable diseases and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, in that capacity I have been in charge of drafting advocacy messages and develop written materials for a variety of audiences.

I am a relationship and partnership builder with the ability to convene and connect different types of stakeholders interested in issues concerning the rule of law, human rights, public health, diversity, and democratic values, focusing on processes, outcomes, and impacts.

I believe positive, large-scale change is achievable when using the best available evidence and practices, adapted and implemented in a multi-stakeholder approach, and in the framework of an enabling policy and regulatory environment.

I have a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Gothenburg, and I am fluent in English, Spanish and Swedish.
